Residence Inn by Marriott planned for Calgary Beltline district

SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce that it plans to construct a new hotel and SilverBirch Conference Centre in Calgary’s Beltline neighbourhood. The 360-room Residence Inn by Marriott will be built on the former site of the Alberta Boot Company at the corner of 10th Avenue and 5th Street SW. The planned Residence Inn will cater to business travellers looking for a long-stay hotel close to Calgary’s downtown. As an all-suite hotel, rooms will feature full kitchens and separate living and sleeping areas. Access to in-hotel business services and a 24/7 self-serve food and beverage pantry will allow travellers to feel right at home. The hotel strives to provide connectivity to the home and office, health and fitness options and comfortable public areas including a terrace lounge and roof deck for relaxation and socializing.

The hotel will also feature a 10,000 sq. foot SilverBirch Conference Centre. A signature concept of SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts, the new conference centre will offer a number of all-inclusive meeting packages with unlimited and all-day access to Connections Café® which will serve an incredible selection of healthy treats and homemade indulgences. The conference facilities will be distraction-free, ergonomically designed and will offer the latest in built-in technology, such as high-definition event video conferencing. SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts expects to begin construction on the Residence Inn by Marriott in 2014. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2016.
