A survey of research on Calgary communities, that argues people who live near high-quality public transportation ”drive less, exercise more, and live longer, and are generally healthier than residents of communities without high-quality public transportation, that is why Calgary Transit provides park and ride lots for transit customers who wish to park their vehicles at most Calgary C-Train Stations and several locations on main line bus routes. Parking stalls in LRT (Light Rail Transit) park and ride lots are available as free parking or reserved parking. Free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reserved parking is $70.00 per month plus GST. and is available by reservation, and customers with reservation are guaranteed a parking space at the lot for which they have reservation between 2 a.m. and 10 a.m. on weekdays. After 10 a.m. and on weekends, the parking areas are open to anyone. There are fifteen park and ride lots around Calgary areas that offer reserved parking at present:
